Amber Nebthet

My personal story

Priestess of Set

Em hotep, I'm Amber and I'm a Priestess of Set's. Though, my path didn't start out this chaotic. Prior to 2016, I was in a spiritual rut not knowing where to go, and trying to figure things out. I knew Christianity wasn't for me as it didn't feel like home. I was in the middle of researching Buddhism and Shinto (making sure Shinto was an open religion to step into,) when Iset came to me in a dream.

I remember being chased down by all the gods and goddesses from other pantheons, except The Neteru. It felt as though there was no hope for me, and as I tried to hide behind one of Poseidon's fountains, I was suddenly picked up from the sky and we flew into the desert where she set me on my feet. I knew instantly it was Iset who saved me.

From then, I welcomed her into my space, and started my research. Then, August of the same year, Set started poking me and after a week of trying to ignore him, I finally let him in. I was able to put two and two together that Iset was only doing Set a favour as he knew if he came to me first, it would have been more difficult for me to walk this Kemetic path.

Now it's been seven years, and he asked me to be his Priestess, so here I am. I now teach Kemeticism on my Patreon and sometimes on TikTok, where I got my start. I also offer reading services as my whole journey started with Tarot, and host The Magic of Egypt Podcast.

Yes, I've been to Egypt. All the Egypt photos and videos on the website are taken by me or my husband.

Outside of Kemeticism, I am happily married to my husband of five years (we've been together for fifteen,) and we live together with our two cats. We're both nerds who love books, Star Wars, and video games. I'm also a graphic designer and author.

Thank you for joining me on this journey of Kemeticism and community. Em heset net netjer, may you be in favour of the gods.
